In classes this week we're practicing Swaha, Let it Be. Swaha is a Sanskrit term that means so be it, let it be, or let it burn. While a bit different than let it go, I personally find it a lot more palatable. Letting something go has a finality to it -- an ending. While 'let it be' can be transitional, an action toward a goal. Trying practicing letting it be by thinking about any habits or thoughts that don't serve you. As you think about them, take a deep breath, soften, and say "Swaha, Swaha, Swaha." Mantra's like swaha are calming to the mind. If you're feeling anxious or stuck on repetitive thoughts or even the wheels are turning at night when you want to be sleeping, try repeating this mantra.
