And reduce your plastic footprint! Last year on a whim, I purchased a shampoo bar. Yes, bar, as in soap. I was doubtful I'd like it, but it was right at the cash register when I was buying other soap in one of my favorite places in Cape May, N.J. A Place On Earth. And you know how that goes! And, the name of the shampoo bar I bought was, Karma. So, there's the backstory.

What I didn't expect, was that I'd not only like it. I loved it! And have never looked back or bought shampoo in a plastic bottle since then. I began an exploration buying other shampoo bars to see if there were others I liked equally. And for one reason or another, there weren't too many. Though, Lush, the big natural soap chain that's in malls is pretty good. And they sell a little tin for $5 you can put the shampoo bar in. Another thing I did was cut pantyhose at the ankle and kept the shampoo bar in that, tied up and hanging in my shower. My hair never looked or felt better and I'm reducing plastic. Also, if you like to travel, shampoo bars are so easy to pack and carry. Win-win!
