In this clinic we'll focus on myofascial release or self-massage of the coat-hanger area, specifically the trapezius, rhomboids, erector spinae, and spinal segmental muscles. We will also move into the neck fascia in the area of the occiput (outer splenius and sub occipital areas). This is an ubiquitous area for chronic pain, tension, and stress and you'll learn how to target this region with an effective strategy for relief. You'll need a set (2) yoga tune up balls or 2 tennis balls tied off loosely in a tube sock, a yoga block, a blanket, and a bolster or cushion. Enjoy a therapeutic self-massage as you relax and bathe all the muscles and tissue ending in a nourishing silent savasana. Great way to start or end your day!
