Yoga for Healthy Joints (healing yoga, formerly called Yoga for Arthritis) is a class that takes the student through a series of gentle, breath-infused movements that flow throughout all the joints in every direction they naturally move. This practice can be done seated or on a mat with options to stand as well. The movement of the joints creates space in the body and moves prana or the life force in such a way that motion may become more easeful and fluid. Stiffness, sensation, and/or pain may be lessened or relieved to prompt a deeper journey into healing. This class is a healing modality that also has a deep, down-regulating effect on the nervous system. Please follow all doctor or PT's recommendations for movement.
