"I just took my third Yoga for Arthritis Class. Lyn’s soothing voice leads you through a gentle yoga practice that focuses on all the joints of your body. Joints you may not even know you have! You will feel renewed after this practice. I am looking forward to the next class. Lyn is a true Yoga Master."
-Susan L, Yoga for Arthritis and Therapeutic Chair Yoga Practitioner
"When we finished class, I felt how I have felt after a massage! That says it!! Couldn't get over it!! Thank you, Lyn, so much."
-Joyce D, Therapeutic Mat Yoga Practitioner
"Chair yoga is a practice that nourishes the mind, body, and soul! I have found it outstanding "exercise" for arthritis as well. Instructor, Lyn Sirota understands joints and how movement and breath can relieve pain. For me, chair yoga is gentle impact and far better rehab than any physical therapy I've done. Give it a try!"
-Lynn R, Therapeutic Chair Yoga Practitioner
"Thank you for giving so much of yourself to your students. I feel so calm and safe in your classes."
-Tamar Brill, Therapeutic Chair Yoga Practitioner
"When I came out of Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation), I felt like Buddha was sitting there next to me. It was a hazy image, but I felt it."
-Sunita K, Therapeutic Mat Yoga class practitioner
"As long as I can remember, I have had poor posture. As I aged, I began to bend forward when I stood or sat, with my pelvis tilted forward. I tried straightening up, but never succeeded in doing that routinely. Then I discovered yoga with Lilavati. After two years taking weekly yoga classes, I automatically sit and stand straight. Lyn managed to prompt this miracle simply by reminding students to have “a long spine” and “a straight back,” and by teaching us how to adjust our pelvis in a “neutral” position. (Before yoga with Lyn, I didn’t even know that I was tipping my pelvis forward.) Recently, I started physical therapy for balance. The physical therapist checked my posture because, she said, posture is important for balance. She concluded that she didn’t have to work on posture with me—my posture is good. For me, this is an amazing achievement. All because of Lyn’s fine way of teaching yoga."
-Phyllis T, Therapeutic Chair Yoga and Yoga for Arthritis Practitioner
"In January 2018, I smashed my lower right leg––a serious injury that resulted in fractures, dislocation, and soft tissue damage. As a writer and artist who often stands while painting, this was a slow and frustrating recovery. I began with Virtual Gentle Chair Yoga and within weeks was feeling strong and balanced enough to try Virtual Gentle Yoga and Meditation done both standing and on a mat. I am now able to garden and walk without fear of falling and with renewed endurance. The positive impact on my writing and painting goes beyond words. The classes are gentle––the results are life strengthening. I am forever grateful for Lyn Lilavati’s wise, supportive, and peaceful approach to teaching virtual yoga."
-Linda K, Therapeutic Chair Yoga Practitioner
"I've been a student in Lyn Lilavati Sirota's Gentle Mat Yoga classes for several years now, and can't imagine a week without this type of yoga practice that stretches my body and mind. During her class I can just focus on myself, learn breathing practices that help me cope with life and stress, practice staying (and living) in the moment, and of course stretch out my body. I feel renewed, less tense, more flexible, for the whole day!"
-Stephanie C, Therapeutic Mat Yoga Practitioner
"I was looking for a yoga instructor and needed someone who described the moves and poses well, because I am blind and can not copy actions. Anyone wanting to do the practice with their eyes closed would easily be able to follow Lyn's verbal cues. She offers a variety of classes for different physical needs and abilities. Her knowledge of yoga and the human body add an interesting educational component as well. I always come away feeling relaxed and maybe a little more flexible. Thank you Lyn."
-Sue T, Therapeutic Mat Yoga Practitioner
"Some folks may question the value of eye exercises but not me. I have had 20/200 vision in one eye since I was 5 years old. After one year of yoga with you, my doctor asked what I had been doing to make my vision go to 20/70. I had been doing nothing else but eye exercises once a week with you. Many Thanks for that!"
