One of the many privileges of growing older is that it may come with increased levels of anxiety (this is widely researched e.g.: https://www.ncoa.org/article/anxiety-and-older-adults-a-guide-to-getting-the-relief-you-need/).
Not to mention, anxiety levels are at an all-time high in many other populations as well. One of the best ways to regulate the nervous system is with slow, mindful yoga, breathwork, and meditation.
Delve into the serenity of a relaxing class that moves at a mindfully slow pace. Class includes asana (postures), pranayama (breathwork), yoga nidra (deep relaxation), and meditation. We will also work with specific asanas and breathing practices that downregulate the nervous system in this class. Practice in a chair or on a mat. Class will be adaptable for all skill levels and abilities and for those with balance issues and injuries. This includes participants who spend their time commuting, sitting at a desk, or have limited mobility or chronic conditions. It is therapeutic in nature and welcoming to all populations. Participants will enjoy a restorative experience that is breath, body, and spiritually focused. Come feel the peace! If using a chair, please set up with a mat under your chair so it doesn't move, a chair without arm rests and no wheels, and some water nearby. This is a single class at the drop in rate of $22.
