Lyn Lilavati Sirota is a certified Yoga teacher who specializes in therapeutic, anatomy-informed yoga instruction with a focus on the brain and the nervous system. Through nourishing, breath-focused movement and unique, creative sequencing, she leads mindful, spiritual, theme-based classes perfect for those new to yoga as well as experienced practitioners. This subtle style of yoga benefits injury rehabilitation, arthritis and inflammation, trauma, anxiety, chronic pain, and over-stimulated nervous systems. Each class cultivates awareness and strengthens resilience. If your goal is a sweaty work-out, this is not your class. These classes are a work-in - a self-paced journey toward a greater sense of peace, easefulness, health, and well-being.
Furthering her tool kit, Lyn completed a Therapeutic Yoga Teacher Training, a Yin Yoga Teacher Training, as well as a program in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. In addition, Lyn certified in Yoga for Arthritis and Yoga for Low Back Pain with Dr. Loren Fishman. Lyn stays current in her knowledge through regular classes in Anatomy and the Neuroscientific/Psychological benefits of slow, mindful yoga with a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Yoga Therapist.
Mission Statement: To deliver accessible, insightful, anatomy-informed, self-healing therapeutic yoga practices for mature adults.
